Evolution of a Photojournalist
Documentary photojournalism my way: it’s what I call “storytelling from the heart”.
My family are artists and musicians, opinionated—willing and able to back up their opinions with experience and discoveries from their own exploration and analysis. I envisioned going into foreign service when I was a student in Germany for my master’s in Comparative Literature.
By happy accident I fell in love with photography; the camera became my bridge, my door opener, to meet people and find out what they were all about. Over just a few months the camera became welded to the end of my arm because I realize I wanted to tell people’s stories. I morphed into a techno junkie and ardent supporter of photography as both reportage and fine art.
