Neon Mania
The lure of bright light; we’re just like moths!
It all started when motorcycle camping in the Southwest. Las Vegas was a stopover, but not high on the list that featured National Parks. But I fell in love with the lights! t didn’t hurt that I was falling in love myself.
Karl and I knew we wanted to visit the Neon Boneyard Museum, both daytime and night, to see the restored antique lighted signs from the Mid-Century era (and later). They’re simply fabulous. I went back several times, and began seriously adding to my photo collection that had started in 2000.
Now it’s a book: Neon Mania: Las Vegas’ Loco Art. I hope to receive permission—architectural copyright you know—from the museum to publish, of course to sell for their benefit.
