My Photo Heroes

When it comes to professional photographers I admire, there’s Sebastião Salgado, Imogen Cunningham, Paul Caponigro (and his son John Paul), Robert Adams, Lucas Samaras, Henri Cartier-Bresson, William Albert Allard, Gregory Crewdson, Francesca Woodman, Syl Labrot, Daniella Zalcman, Helmut Newton, Cy Twombly, David Hockney, Jerry Uelsmann, James Nachtwey, and Edward Curtis.

Interestingly enough, all these photographers made their mark by documenting life as they see it—in a style which may or may not be fully literal.
